I have been converted to the powerful and life-changing ways of argan oil. Finally, I have experienced my own argan-epiphany! I never tried argan oil-infused beauty products before, but, this summer, Josie Maran introduces two new products for summer: Argan Love Your Lips Hydrating Lipstick ($22.00) and Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelées ($22.00). And I was more than ready to discover argan oil!
I have to talk about these gelées… NOW! A stain meets cream blush, this blendable gelée is made with 50% coconut water for long-lasting, 14-hour hydration! Vitamin E and argan oil nourish skin, while the buildable color has your cheeks popping.
I swatched three shades: Coral Oasis, a bright, orange juice shade; Berry Bliss, a deep berry/wine color that goes on sheer and Honeymoon Honey, a sheer brown honey shade. It feels like nothing you’ve ever applied to your cheeks before — it felt like silicon but you know Josie Maran uses nothing but the freshest and most natural cruelty-free, paraben-free, fragrance-free and recyclable ingredients!

I was surprised at how easy it was to blend, since gel/stain blushes tend to dry quickly on contact, making blending a hurried process that has you looking streaky. These were blendable and the colors are sheer, so you can’t overdo it!
Lip color wrapped, nay, drenched in argan oil! I love these Hydrating Lipsticks! It’s a balm/lipstick/lipgloss — all of your favorite lip-smacking attributes in one product.
Playful Pink
Fuschia Frolic
The color is found in the middle of the lipstick, as argan oil is wrapped on the outside. I tried Fuschia Frolic and Playful Pink. It is so easy to use, you don’t even need to apply with a mirror.
Your lips will just look healthy, not too glossy… just right. I found that the tip of the lipstick might not have that much color, since there is more of the argan oil, so make sure to maneuver the lipstick so that the color is applied all over your lips. And don’t forget to smack ‘em!
