I am a huge fan of Senna Cosmetics, and have a beautiful rapport with their wonderful Founder, Eugenia Weston. I have time and time again been impressed by their color pigments, long-lasting products and enjoy mimicking the looks from the inspiring ads that come with their products.
For fun, I like to look similar to their models — and usually can walk right out the door, yet this new Winter 2013 campaign has a fun and decorative eye look, hence the tagline: Do You Dare?
It’s more of an Edie Sedgwick-Twiggy eye look that I have also seen on the cover of the Sephora gift catalog and ad campaigns, yet Senna goes a bit further by adding stippling dots over their new silver shadow, making a very bold, blackened brow by using the Pinpoint Micro Tip Liquid Eyeliner ($16.00).
Before/After
Mascara Comparison:
Estée Lauder Sumptuous Infinite Daring Length + Volume Mascara
I saw a lot of Roy Lichtenstein-inspired looks during Halloween, as it’s quite a hard look to master when done completely all over the face and body. This liner glides on with precision, making it very easy-to-apply. Also in the collection is a wonderful sparkling steel tone called Silver Lining Glow ($14.40).
I also used the Voluptulash Volumizing Mascara ($22.00). And this luxurious mascara delivers dramatic, deep black, lusciously thick and intense lashes in one stroke. The unique helix-shaped brush both coats and separates each lash for perfect definition and clump-free wear.
Hi-tech polymers boost strength and volume of lashes, and ensure long-lasting and smudge-proof wear. As we know, the formula’s ingredients and brush are key, and I liked the way the helix-shaped applicator made my lashes look full, long and thick.
To top off my favorite red lippy look, Senna Cosmetics introduces their Lip Liner in Crimson ($18.00), Cream Lipstick ($20.00) in Venetian Red and finally for shine, their Lip Lacquer ($20.00) in Maraschino. You know how much I adore red lips and wear them nearly daily, even if they are a bit over-the-top for an everyday look. It’s kind of my signature come to think of it!
What I also used was Senna‘s new Lasting Illusion Satin Matte Foundation ($48.00) in Buff. It also comes in Alabaster, Sand, Beige, Golden Beige, Tan and Chestnut, offering a color suitable for all skintones. It has 16-hour coverage, applied smoothly and looked seamless on my skin, as you could see in the pictures. It erases small imperfections to give flawless coverage that will not settle into fine lines, making it wearable for all ages and skin types.
