M.A.C. has added a skincare perfecting collection to its line, and it debuted in stores on April 7th. Called the Prep & Prime Collection, this includes the extension of their fabulous Prep + Prime collection.
The highlight of the collection is their new Highlighter ($23) that is a click pen style (think YSL Touche Eclat) that provides a soft sheer wash on your cheeks. We also love the Prep + Prime Vibrancy Eye that promises to instantly diminish the look of puffy eyes as well as under-eye shadows. It also promises to impart a bright and natural radiance to the under eye area.
In many ways, the Prep + Prime Vibrancy Eye ($30) is my favorite product. It is light and cooling, and comes in a pump dispenser. Just a little amount pretty much erases that “raccoon eye” effect you get after sleepless nights and lack of proper hydration and — let’s face it ladies, genetics.
It reminds me of the Olay Total Effects Line and Dark Circle Minimizing Brush (also note: a CLICK pen technology…they’re everywhere these days), but I get to wear my tried and true concealer (in this case, Sheer Cover) under my eyes.
In this photo below, I am wearing the Prep + Prime Vibrancy Eye, the Sheer Cover concealer, M.A.C. Studio Moisture Tint SPF 15 which is rapidly becoming my most favorite tinted moisturizer ever, M.A.C. Careblend Pressed Powder in “Medium” from the Future Face collection, and M.A.C. mascara in Plush Lash. Eye liner by NARS, and lipstick is Illamasqua in “Box” after a layer of Smith’s Rosebud Salve lip balm.
Tell us, are you a primer gal? If so, do you use primer only for your face? Trust me, you’ll be hooked on the consistency of the Prep + Prime Eye Vibrancy which is totally worth every penny.
If you’re prone to dark circles, it is comforting to know there are so many options on the market these days that promise to address this concern…and they WORK.
Are you Primed for Perfection? How so?
