These last few years, our beauty world has been rocked by the lash craze. First, we became obsessed with piling on fake lashes. Not long after, we replaced our favorite falsies with lash extensions—which, while effective, are pricey to maintain. And, now, we’re excited to say, it’s possible to get the Cleopatra-like look for less with fiber extensions.
Introducing the Physicians Formula Eye Booster Instant Lash Kit ($14.95). This two-part kit features a hypoallergenic, paraben-free, and gluten-free formula that combines all-natural lash extensions, made primarily of cellulose and vitamin E, with a lash-boosting mascara to deliver incredible, buildable results. Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Sweep the lash-boosting mascara on upper lashes to prep for fibers.
Step 2: Brush extensions onto the upper lashes while mascara is still wet to instantly build.
Step 3: Reapply the lash-boosting mascara to seal and set extensions. Repeat the entire process for an even more dramatic look.
Step 4: Check for fallout and simply brush away any loose fibers that have fallen during application. (You can also place a tissue under your eye before applying fibers to avoid this altogether.)
Step 5: Comb through your lashes to separate any clumps.
Step 6: Though the instructions say to use on upper lashes, I also applied the duo on my lower lash line, and the results were incredible.
I’ve tried several other fiber mascara products in recent months and haven’t been blown away. I’m happy to say that the Physicians Formula kit is another story. It’s cheaper than others on the market. Better yet, you don’t have to use a regular mascara to prep lashes before the boosting gels.
Cleanup is easy too. (Yes, you may need to wipe the sink clean of fiber clumps, but that’s about it.) Regular makeup remover is all you need to get them off. Finally, I’m pleased to share that I did not experience any irritation from the fibers—even while wearing my contact lenses.
This product is truly revolutionary. Easy, affordable, and as effective as wearing fake lashes. Way to go, PF!
