When we think about lipstick, we’re likely to think of a burst of color. There are so many out there that promise benefits, but very few contain any ingredients that have proven results.
Brands like Tarte and Korres love to use antioxidants, and we love them for this. Recently, we discovered a line that takes lip care to a whole new level: BITE Beauty.
Created with the idea that our daily lipstick application should enhance our natural beauty, not cover it up, BITE Beauty is the first ever lipstick line to contain Red Wine Resveratrol, delivering a micro-dose of antioxidants with every application. Resveratrol is the health-boosting component found in red wine. Each BITE lipstick delivers the antioxidant equivalent of five glasses of red wine to restore and maintain youthful looking lips (meaning it will help reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles).
When we told our product evaluator, Antonella, that we wanted her try a lipstick that contains the health benefits of five glasses of wine, she jumped at the chance. See Antonella’s photos and review below.
We have to hand it over to this lipstick for its volume-plumping capabilities. While red lipsticks are usually drying, this one was very moisturizing. And as you can see, it has a nice gloss to it as well. It has a soft, clean scent consistent with other Bite lip products. Pair this with a black liquid liner and neutral shadow for a fun retro look, or with a soft monochromatic eye. If you want the lipstick to pop even more, wear a soft blue green eyeshadow.
If you want your lips to look juicy yet natural, this lip gloss is perfect. It smells and tastes like bubble gum, although I don’t recommend consumption. It’s great for the daytime for a natural shiny look, or paired with smoky eyes for the evening.
This gloss feels and smells minty fresh. It really conditions and smooths your lips. If you happen to accidentally lick it, it tastes good too! A good lip conditioner like this is an essential in your makeup bag.
The lipsticks come in 21 alluring shades and retail for $24 each.
