I have a twin. He’s a boy (we’re fraternal). We both have a lot of similarities, and one thing we both seem to suffer from is acne. It’s genetics, one might think. So, if he has that skin problem, I surely will have it too. But, the scientists at Olay wanted to test that genetic skin theory with a study of their own, involving twins! (Unfortunately, I don’t think my brother would want to do this skincare study with me. Pfft. Boys.)
Olay wanted to demonstrate that there is no such thing as genetic destiny, and enlisted 21 sets of identical twins (ages 20 – 53 with varying skin types and tones) to undergo an 8-week study using the Pro-X by Olay Intensive Wrinkle Protocol and Tone Correcting Protocol regimens to improve skin’s appearance through before and after images. One twin was given a regimen to use, while the other missed out (a typical twin conundrum!).
“Before” & “After”
To see how this study really worked, Olay brought in one set of twins, Beth and Sara, who tried the Pro-X by Olay Wrinkle Protocol regimen, which contains:
Age Repair Lotion SPF 30
Wrinkle Smoothing Cream
Deep Wrinkle Treatment
Beth and Sara are two beautiful 24-year-old women. And I know what you’re thinking, “Why would they need to use the anti-wrinkle regimen?” But, let me tell you, as similar as they are in appearance, you could tell that Sara’s skin (the twin who used the regimen for 8-weeks) had a smoother, brighter, more even-toned complexion.
Olay Total Effects Dark Circle Minimizing & Eye Brightening CC Cream
What better way to see skincare results than by using identical twins, carbon copies of each other in regards to appearance. Just leave it up to the geniuses at Olay to prove how effective and powerful their skincare really is.
