“Another mascara to love,” I said as I thought I heard that I’d be receiving a new DiorShow mascara. No, DiorSNOW! My, my how technology is changing the way products are made. Read on to learn about this incredible new launch known as DIORSNOW.
Introducing the newly launched DiorSnow Skincare Collection, which features exclusive Icelandic Glacial (TM) Water Technology. This water is protected from the thousand-year-old immaculate glaciers of Iceland, and is said to be gifted with unique brightening powers!
This new technology took over a decade to make, with a formula exclusive to Dior. I immediately put on the DiorSnow White Reveal Moisturizing Lotion Rich 2 ($52.00) and not only felt my skin looking brighter, but I emotionally felt refreshed!
Completely devoid of pollution, Icelandic Glacial (TM) Water is one of the purest waters in the world. It has been running through volcanic rock formulations for over 400 years, without ever coming into contact with its surrounding atmosphere. I am very intrigued by this process, and was delighted to sample it.
Here is the introduction you will see in the newly launched line to be found at Dior counters nationwide, except where noted, as well as on Dior.com.
DiorSnow Anti-Spot Serum ($150.00) — a low production of filaggrin — a protein that binds keratin fibers in epithelial cells — makes the skin more susceptible to external aggressions and increases the production of melanin. In an area of the skin with visible spots, the production of filaggrin is 66% lower than in normal skin. DiorSnow Anti-Spot Serum is the first “intelligent” serum able to correct visible and developing spots via patented technology that targets the production of filaggrin in the skin.
Featuring mallow extract and the exclusive Icelandic Glacial TM Water, DiorSnow Anti-Spot Serum targets both visible and invisible spots, increasing filaggrin production up to 22 percent in pigmented areas only, repairing visible and invisible spots more efficiently. In areas where filaggrin is lacking, skin locally overproduces melanin, giving birth to new spots.
DiorSnow White Reveal Extreme Cooling Gel Mask (Select Macy’s only; $95.00) — temperature variation can modulate melanocyte activity, and the unique gel texture of the DiorSnow Cooling Gel Mask allows skin to reset its temperature, slowing down melanocyte biological processes and reducing the activity of tyrosinase (which is responsible for melanin production) by up to 18%.
It immediately creates a striking cooling sensation, lowering the skin’s temperature by four degrees Celsius. In addition, its unique blend of Icelandic Glacial TM Water and Dior’s exclusive TECTM brightening complex works to create a brighter, more luminous complexion with each application.
DIORSNOW UV COLLECTION:
The effects of alternating exposure, from a hot and humid climate outside to a dry, air-conditioned atmosphere indoors, causes repeated trauma on the skin. Dior studies have shown that an increase in temperature can induce an elevation of tyrosinase activity by up to 63%, while different levels of moisture in the air can lead to deficient water intake within the skin cells.
Dry skin is also characterized by increased pigmentation which leads to changes in complexion homogeniety. Dior now brings to light the importance of protection against these two newly identified factors with its DiorSnow UV protection products, featuring Ectoine, a new active ingredient.
A water-soluble molecule that is found in organisms living in extreme environmental conditions such as salt lakes and saline deserts, Ectoine is part of Dior’s tri-dimensional shield, which protects the skin against extreme and aggressive conditions.
Essentially, Ectoine is a defense system that enables organisms to survive in extreme conditions such as UV light, severe variations in temperature, high salinity levels and extreme dryness. Ectoine has two exceptional properties: structured organization of water molecules and protein protection.
Ectoine reinforces the skin’s cellular defense mechanism to help protect cells from heat and moisture-related stress. As a result, the new DiorSnow UV Shield Formulas now offer even more complete protection, working on the three key factors involved in altering skin transparency: UV rays, humidity and moisture.

DiorSnow BB Eye Sunscreen Creme (#20 and #10, available at select Macy’s only; $49.00) diminishes dark spots, boosts microcirculation and targets dark circles while protecting the delicate eye area with SPF 20 PA+++ and protection against temperature increases and humidity variation.
The product applies easily (similar to a foundation) and is very blendable. It’s long-wearing and I like the fact that it has SPF in it to protect the delicate eye area. I normally shy away from using new products near my eyes (as they are so sensitive), yet this works great! No tears!

DiorSnow White Reveal Gentle Purifying Foam ($45.00) gently removes all traces of makeup and impurities. Skin is deeply cleaned, brightened, comfortable, incredibly soft and velvety.
