Available at Sephora, these four Perricone MD Vitamin C Ester 15 10ml tubes ($120) of non-invasive, in-home solution night treatments were formulated to boost collagen production and rejuvenate the skin. Upon first application, not only does it smell delicious (vitamin C Ester is a fusion of vitamin C with a fatty acid derived from palm oil to create a fat-soluble, stable form of vitamin C), but it felt like it had some depth to it — although it was quite lightweight.
On my face, it felt as if the cream was penetrating the skin and not just laying on top of it, if that makes sense. A woman I met from Jurlique months ago had told me that the thicker the night cream the better, as our skin truly needs hydration to remain supple and plump. Allure Magazine just ran an article as well about how women don’t hydrate their skin enough. I even notice when my nighttime eye cream is heavier that my bags are less noticeable the next day. It seems some things are genetic, I know, but hydrating the skin is key to looking more radiant and healthy.
This product was designed for people whom have a loss of firmness to their skin and/or discoloration from sun damage and/or wrinkles. I have all three! In six more days I will report back as this product claims to firm and tighten the skin; have suppleness restored; dullness of fatigued, aged skin is reversed; skin is soothed; redness minimized; imperfections and wrinkles erased (I am keeping my fingers crossed on that benefit, especially as these are all very serious claims); visibly more glowing, radiant skin will be unveiled and the skin texture should take on a smooth, porcelain-like look and feel. Only time will tell and I am excited to see results. I always believed that the word “cosmeceutical” meant that the formula had a stronger dose of whatever other products on the market are allowed to have. I truly hope this delivers…
