October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and we here at BeautyStat want to recognize those companies that support the cause with special products designed to “put us in the pink” ….
One of the companies supporting “the Girls” is Estee Lauder. By October 2010, the Estee Lauder Companies and retail families will have contributed or raised $45 million since 1993 for BCRF. The Estee Lauder Pink Ribbon Collection helps raise awareness that early detection saves lives. Today the Pink Ribbon is the ubiquitous, worldwide symbol of breast health and breast cancer awareness, during this month Estee Lauder Beauty Advisors hand out PINK RIBBONS, informational brochures and more. This takes place not just in North America, but at counters around the world where women are desperate for information and hope.
Since 1993, the Estée Lauder brand has has donated more than $8 million to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®. In 2010 alone, Estée Lauder will donate $500,000 to BCRF in The United States. This 2010 donation, coupled with other funds raised by Estée Lauder’s North America Field Team, will fund four prominent BCRF researchers. Every year, Mrs. Evelyn H. Lauder and Elizabeth Hurley travel around the world raising awareness and funds for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation at personal appearance events.

BeautyStat would also like to shine the spotlight on some other great companies, that are also participating in special promotions of their own to help spread the word, and raise awareness. Pink has never been more powerful! The Noreen Fraser Foundation, a nonprofit organization devoted to funding women’s cancer research, is pleased to announce a partnership with Fake Bake, a leader in the sunless tanning product industry. In time for the holidays, 20% of all website sales of the Beyond Bronze line of self-tanners will directly benefit the foundation.
Fake Bake’s Beyond Bronze includes an airbrush self-tanner for the body and a lotion for the face, both of which are formulated without parabens.
