Jordin Sparks, the youngest ever winner of American Idol, was a mere 17 years old when she won the coveted title. At that age, most teenagers are just starting to find themselves and enter college campuses as freshmen.
“It definitely a life-changing experience,” she tells BeautyStat.com. “I still keep in touch with all my friends from the show.”
Meeting the talented Grammy- nominated Platinum Recording artist was like encountering a curly bundle of pure energy. She was so vivacious, thoroughly humble about her success, and gushed about her favorite fragrance notes (vanilla, musk and precious woods).
Her first scent, Because of You hops on the celebrity bandwagon and gives us a burst of nice florals upon first sniff:

On first encounter, you really smell the musk. It’s a floral yet dense perfume, with traces of citrus that come and go. Once you apply it, the musk is not really that palpable; it doesn’t sit on your skin like an unwanted house guest, but rather dissipates, leaving behind a more powdery smell of florals.
Ms. Sparks is currently tearing the house down in New York City’s Broadway musical, In the Heights. “I’ve always loved the theatre,” she says.
When asked what were some of her most favorite beauty products she couldn’t live without, she rattles them off her tongue: she attributes her flawless skin to Kiehls’ Midnight Recovery Concentrate , “all kinds” of lipglosses including MAC Cosmetics’ Lip Gelees, Ouidad Haircare for her naturally curly hair (and she has LOTS of it).
