With words like SUPERCHARGED and SKIN-PERFECTING, you know Laura Geller has some amazing products in store for us! First up is Laura Geller’s latest addition to her well-loved and award-winning Spackle collection: Supercharged Fortified Under Make-Up Primer ($32.00).
Packed with active skincare ingredients like wine extract, DC detoxdefense (a powerful cocktail of vitamins, minerals and amino acids) aloe, beet root, white tea extract and more to work together to prevent free radical damage, provide healthy looking skin and promote skin elasticity with age-fighting properties.
The lightweight, emollient formula comes out of a stainless steal rollerball that may be applied directly to skin before makeup. Upon contact it gives your skin a cooling and soothing effect, while the light pink gel primer can be closed by a simple turn of the dial to avoid spillage. The mini rollerball woke up my skin and allowed my foundation to glide on smoothly and evenly.
Laura was bound to make her own BB Cream… it was just a matter of time, and that time is now! The BB Cream All-In-One Skin-Perfecting Beauty Balm SPF 21 ($34.00) moisturizes, is water-resistant and contains a powerful anti-aging complex of vitamin E, panaz ginseng root, ginkgo biloba leaf and licorice root extract to help brighten, condition and stimulate blood flow for radiant skin.
Available in Fair, Light, Medium and Deep, Laura’s very own BB Cream is ideal for all skin types. Its ultra-creamy formula sinks right into skin. I would say that it has light to medium coverage, being able to conceal redness and an uneven skintone.
I found that the Fair shade had yellow undertones, which was perfect for me! I loved how it worked so well with the Supercharged Primer, leaving my skin looking pore-less, evenly toned and flawless!
To finish off my perfectly primed and evened face, I added a touch of sun-kissed glow with Baked ImPRESSions Matte Bronzer With Brush ($38.00; available in Light, Medium and Deep). I am usually fearful of bronzers since I am so fair, but I was impressed at how natural it looked on my skin.
The powder’s texture is silky soft due to Laura’s famous Baked process. Its formula is water-resistant and contains super antioxidants like white tea and centella asiatica to protect against environmental damage. It looks so natural because of that “second skin feel” impression all of Laura Geller’s products leave on your skin.
It also includes a Mini Retractable Kabuki Brush to apply your bronzer with ease. The angled brush’s bristles are tightly packed, picking up just the right amount of color. This bronzer is extremely long-wearing and will have your skin looking more hydrated and soothed… what other bronzer can do that?
