On April 15th, NARS is pleased to announce the arrival of its Summer 2013 Color Collection. Created by founder and creative director François Nars, this new collection provides a cool, nonconformist color palette that is a modern take on ‘70s glamour.
The Duo Eyeshadow ($34.00) in Fashion Rebel makes me think of Ziggy Stardust — the colors are so richly pigmented they can be used alone or blended together. The look is up to you! The Single Eyeshadow ($24.00) in Euphrate is a frosted mint-steel that is like no other mint I have seen: it’s subdued yet has a lot of pigment.
I have been seeing mint hues in so many palettes, yet this one is more user-friendly. Meaning it makes your eyes pop, but does not make it such a focal point that you are stuck on the color itself.
Watch Behind-The-Scenes Footage:
Lipstick ($24) in Tolede is a pink-rose that looks like it would suit any skintone. Also available, but not sampled: Larger Than Life (r) Long Wear Eyeliner ($24.00) in Barrow Street, which is a seafoam green; Velvet Matte Lip Pencil ($25.00) in Tender Night is a limited-edition iridescent lilac color; Multiple ($39.00) in Puerto Vallarta is a shimmering tangerine; Larger Than Life (r) Lip Gloss ($26.00) in Paris Folliesis is a pink flamingo color and Nail Polish ($19.00) in Madness is a limited-edition electric orange.
