Makeup Review, Photos, Swatches: Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips - Great Halloween Looks

Who loves Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips more than I do?! I have been sporting them since they launched, my first pattern being Laced Up. I was mentioned in an article because one of my Facebook friends saw how often I posted new nail pics; it became interesting for them to see which style I would choose next to wear. The article (should you want to read it) can be found on makeup.com.

Nicole’s first Sally Hansen nail strip love affair in ‘Laced Up’

The technology behind the no dry-time — and that it is not a sticker but an actual nail strip — to me is genius. No dry-time, instant glam and nail polish strips that last up to ten days makes me a happy beauty writer (self-professed nail-a-holic). Each Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips kit includes 16 nail polish strips, a cuticle stick, mini file/buffer and instructions for use. I may need to create a video as I have done them to myself in about five minutes. Most of you see my nails in the articles I write and often ask what type of nail art I use. Here’s your answer!

These designs are limited editions, so grab them while you can as I have seen many sold out already. The patterns this year are: Numbskull (sampled), Spun For You (fantastic silver and black spider web design), Batty For You (black bats galore against a magenta/purple-like background), How Corny (candy corn in a step and repeat pattern) and Patch-O-Lanterns (traditional Halloween colors of both orange and black with pumpkin cut out designs).

My nails do serve as an outlet for creativity within my wardrobe — it’s amazing that some people think I have spent a lot of money on my “nail art,” as some places do charge as much as $60-80 for the individual patterns on each nail, when in fact I have spent under ten dollars most of the time! It’s as easy as 1-2-3! Available for $9.99 at chain drug stores, food stores and mass merchandisers nationwide.
