If you are an Urban Decay fan like I am, then you already love and own the Naked Palettes. Their formula was changed when the Naked2 Palette ($50.00) launched and beauty lovers everywhere loved the new colors. As you already may know, L’Oréal Paris announced earlier this week that it plans on buying Urban Decay — and many of us hope that the integrity of the products will not change. L’Oréal Paris sees it as a way to market the brand globally, as it is now only available in specialty stores.
Now, the long-awaited, sought-after, multi-purpose Naked Basics ($27.00) palette companion has arrived! It’s wonderful and neutral, although you can glam it up too by using the darker shades, of course. It’s up to you what look you’re going for. These are wearable shades for any skin tone and apply smoothly and have a creamy feel to them. Not chalky or powdery. There is a demi-matte shade, Venus, which has a hint of satin, which is perfect for highlighting and adding dimension.
Urban Decay‘s best-selling palettes, Naked and Naked2 (both $50.00 each), are proof that neutral eyes are anything but boring! Naked Basics includes four new and exclusive shades, one previously only available in another palette and one all-time staff favorite.
