Your ‘Curl Gurl’ with ‘Hair to Share’ is back! And this time with Aveeno! The Aveeno brand is part of Johnson & Johnson consumer products, most trusted by dermatologists for its natural ingredients and recommended for more than sixty years.
Aveeno launched their new Pure Renewal Collection, infused with the harnessing power of Active Naturals seaweed extract and Natrasurf Technology, which ensures extra-gentle cleansing.
Before
After
For starters, the scent is amazing! I immediately smelled it through the bottle (and NO, it wasn’t leaking!) A fresh, clean “aloe-type” scent which is sulfate-free and without parabens or synthetic dyes.
To use: Gently wash your hair to remove impurities and provide balanced cleansing and conditioning. This system is non-abrasive and clinically proven to make hair 80% more manageable after the first use, and up to seven times healthier.
Aveeno Pure Renewal brand also consulted eco-friendly celebrity hairstylist Patrick Melville on the formula to ensure the highest quality! Available at all national food, drug and mass merchandisers.
Aveeno Pure Renewel Shampoo ($6.49 – $6.00 10.5 fl. oz. bottle): Featuring balancing seaweed extract, this shampoo won’t over-dry or over-moisturize hair – it provides an ideal balance to maintain optimal moisture levels. This results in your hair being soft, healthy and manageable.
Innovative Natrasurf Technology is very gentle yet still produces the lathering and foaming sensation that many of us still desire in their haircare. This ‘Curl Gurl’ for one, prefers lather, and yet it’s naturally-derived from potato starch, sulfate-free and is biodegradable — so it’s both gently and earth-friendly! It’s also safe for color-treated hair.
Aveeno Pure Renewel Conditioner ($6.49 – $6.99 10.5 fl. oz. bottle): Now due to my curls easily tangling (and creating massive knots overnight,) this conditioner is designed to condition and soften without weighing hair down. The instant I applied a quarter-sized amount to my hair (which is much given the amount of hair
I have; I usually use way more conditioner), my hair immediately started to detangle with my fingers alone!
That’s how I test conditioners: by how well they detangle, as well as moisturize my hair. Aveeno Pure Renewel Conditioner re-balances hair’s optimal moisture levels to leave it silky and more manageable. Like the shampoo, it is also sulfate-free and infused with seaweed extract.
Aveeno Pure Renewel Dry Shampoo ($7.49 – $7.99 4.8oz): Discover a new pure way to refresh and renew your hair without washing with water. Formulated for all hair types, it’s designed to rejuvenate hair for a clean, fresh look between washes; removes excess oil and impurities to help boost volume, and has a light fragrance to refresh with each use.

Sulfate-free for gentle cleansing, it is designed for all hair types and safe for color-treated hair! To use: Shake can well before use and in-between sprays. Hold 8-10 inches away from scalp and spray lightly and evenly to dry hair, focusing on the roots. Leave in for 1-2 minutes, brush out thoroughly and blend excess powder into hair with fingers. Style as desired.
