Thanks to Twitter, I was able to meet celebrity hairstylist Danilo and have him style my hair using Pantene products at the Walgreens located in Times Square, NY. Shout-out to Amber Katz for that tweet, as I had the time of my life speaking with him while he so diligently turned me into a blonde bombshell.
He reminded me that Pantene was the first brand to bring over European styling products, as well as being the #1 mass hair styling line being sold today.
Before
I sat in his chair with my limp curls, but, 40-minutes later, I felt like I could walk the runway… meaning, walk down the street and not feel insecure about my locks.
We talked to hairstylists and colorists all about CURLS! Learn how to style, care, condition & manage wavy, curly, textured hair —> HERE!
We chatted about how Pantene‘s products all have lock-in moisturizers, and that the way water moves through hair when we wash is what strips its natural shine and color. That is why Pantene has products that revives hair moisture and gives it the shine it naturally always had.
After
I did tell Danilo, whom I know has worked with such stars as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Gwen Stefani and more, what products I had been using. He didn’t say anything negative about my haircare routine, and actually told me my hair was healthy — and that the Pantene products he’d be using on me would improve my hair’s overall appearance.

I asked him about his T3 blow dryer (which, by the way, dries hair about 30% faster than other blow dryers) and then we spoke of the products he wanted to use specifically for my hair. Danilo asked me what look I was going for, and I told him I truly wanted more defined curls, as I so often get blow-outs; I would wear my hair curly if it could only look better and more polished.
Danilo used the Pantene Silky Moisture Whip ($7.96) first to add hydration to my curls. This is no ordinary mousse: It’s lightweight, creamy and smells invigorating when applied.

He told me to be mindful when I use it at home, as the applicator disperses a fair amount rather quickly; I started to play with my sample to see how much came out at once — it’s creamy and dreamy texture made me forget my crunchy curls that I had in the ‘90s for a moment!
No crunch, it just added moisture, and when placed all over my hair the curls began to feel healthier and fall into place by themselves. Danilo often asked me to feel the smoother texture of my hair to show me that the product was working.
Then, Danilo added the Pantene Pro-V Ultimate 10 BB Crème ($6.27), which acts as a BB for your hair. It gave my hair a silky, smooth feel and was inspired by the cosmetic industry’s BB Cream phenomenon. Not only can we have anti-aging products for our face, but yes, also for our hair. You know I have been very happy with the Alterna CC Caviar Cream, so this was also a new product I can use on a daily basis.

Danilo then curled my hair in sections and told me that the Pantene No Crunch Curls Whip Moisturizer & Styler ($6.99) was made for my hair! It is a multifunctional product that will automatically help my curls form into a better shape without any other product being needed for up to 48-hours.
Danilo, if you shall ever read this, thank you for making me feel like a blonde bombshell, and thank you for making Pantene products do what they say they do. My hair is bouncy, shiny, soft and has va-va-va voom curls… even in this heatwave. Kudos to Pantene! And kudos to the iconic and legendary man himself, Danilo.
