It’s not hard to understand why so many beauty editors have fallen for the brand Omorovciza. I know it’s pricey, yet, our skincare regimen budget may/could/should be priceless (at least in my eyes).
I often ask for samples first, and then, once in love with a particular product or line from a store, purchase it at a later date. I have two kids and two jobs, so please understand I don’t look at these prices lightly. I, like many of you, need to ration my beauty bucks! Although, skincare is where most of mine is spent.
I had seen this line next to my fav Sunday Riley products at the Union Square Sephora and had remembered hearing beauty buzz around this product. Something about its ingredients: they had found an apple that even when damaged was able to repair itself. And that was one of the ingredients used in one of their products?! I naturally thought about cellular regeneration and having the damaged skin be undone over time. Apple pectin is the ingredient that stood out to me.
Omorovicza Budapest was inspired by the healing powers of Hungary’s famous thermal baths. Mineral-rich thermal waters with Mineral Cosmetology (TM) — their patented delivery system that enables a potent blend of the minerals to be absorbed by the skin in unprecedented levels. Both Margaret and Stephen de Heinrich de Omorovicza decided to develop their products in the world’s international spa city.
Starting my sampling quest, I used with the Copper Peel ($160.00) at night. It entails a two-step skin peel that exfoliates and then polishes the complexion. There are eight mini-tubes of a resealable Copper Peel Paste, as well as eight mini-tubes of the Copper Peel Activator.
Skin After Peel
This foaming skin peel combines a blue copper paste with a lactic acid activator to smooth the complexion and encourage collagen production. This peel is free of parabens, sulfates, synthetic dyes and fragrances, petrochemicals, phthalates, GMOs and triclosan. Application suggests to use once or twice weekly, and I used just a small portion of each resealable tube (eight sets of two-phase process).
The very next morning I decided to use both the Balancing Moisturiser ($135.00) with the Complexion Perfector BB SPF 20 ($135.00) in conjunction with one another. Let me tell you, my skin feels like a baby’s bottom. My skin is smooth, even toned, soft-to-the-touch and looks (and feels) healthy. I asked friends to be honest and they said that my skin always looked nice, but today, I looked especially radiant. I asked them to then touch my skin to which I got,”What is the name of the product? What did you use today?” — and that said it all.
Once again, these products have that patented Mineral Cosmetology (TM) delivery system which is said to give you the most minerals in the product that allows to minimize the appearance of fine lines (ruby crystal ingredient), provide long-lasting hydration (shea butter and apple pectin) and is said to leave the skin firmer, more supple and youthful looking.
After using all three products
Note the Balancing Moisturiser helps regulate the production of sebum, making it perfect for combination and naturally oily skin. The cooling gel-cream also keeps skin hydrated throughout the day and prevents oil build-up or dryness. There are both pineapple and rosemary extracts in the formula to help reduce pore size and clear dead skin cells, while apple pectin provides long-lasting hydration and also helps to restore the skin’s suppleness.
Next, I must try their Reviving Eye Cream ($145.00), as Hana at the Union Square Sephora told me that worked wonders for her… mother! I shall ask for a sample first, promise! Available at Omorovicza.com, Sephora, Sephora.com, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and BeautyBar.com.
