Just to give you some background on the brand, Erno Laszlo was founded in 1927 by the Hungarian born Laszlo, a medical doctor who fell into dermatology after the notoriety he gained for transforming the complexion of Princess Stephanie of Belgium. His clientele read like a “Who’s Who” list and I always remember Marilyn Monroe being associated with the brand. In 1957, Erno Laszlo skincare preparations were introduced to a wider audience at Saks Fifth Avenue. His philosophy of creating tailor-made products that were specifically formulated to target different areas of the skin has earned Erno Laszlo its reputation of 85 years of kept promises.
Being that I had just seen Marilyn Reinvented Photographs by Bert Stein at Milk Studios the night before I received these products, I was even more eager to delve into this new “Phormulas” of legendary products. I can only speak of what I was given. The Phormula 3-9 Repair Serum ($265.00) was delightful to-the-touch. It comes out of the pump bottle easily and has a slight golden tone at first, which absorbed clear right into my skin like a well-needed dose of hydration! It was like my face absorbed the product immediately without any dry-time or shine. It was amazingly weightless in feel and smooth in texture. There is also a delightfully light scent to the product!
Let’s address Phormula 3-9. With proven results in repairing and protecting stressed skin, this Phormula 3-9 is Erno Laszlo‘s masterpiece. One of the original formulas developed by Dr. Laszlo and relentlessly improved over time, Phormula 3-9 was created for his most demanding celebrity clientele. Now, in addition to the original balm consistency, Erno Laszlo is proud to launch a new serum sand cream to allow all skin types to transform their complexion with the healing powers of Phormula 3-9. The exact formula for 3-9 is a closely guarded secret, yet I know it has a powerful blend of time-honored ingredients, such as raspberry stem cells and key plant derived oils from across the globe.
Phormula 3-9 Repair Balm ($245.00) is the original — Designed to significantly elevate the state of the complexion, this rich and soothing formula rapidly smoothes skin, reverses dehydration and improves oxygenation.
Phormula 3-9 Repair Cream ($265.00) is a new version — A nutritional supplement offering superior hydration along with strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties for renewed skin cell energy and a youthful appearance.
Phormula 3-9 Repair Serum ($265.00) — A daily radiance-boosting serum that encourages healthy skin metabolism and also increases cell turnover for improved brightness, texture and glow.
I have never spent over $105.00 for skincare before, yet I do see my skin has improved immensely over the past year using Sunday Riley‘s products, so I am considering this as a gift to my skin.
The Transphuse Line Refining Cream ($225.00) was created to rejuvenate tired, dull skin while improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles; it’s packed with line-plumping, skin-firming Dermaxyl and the anti-aging peptide Collaxyl. This treatment is said to yield results in as little as four weeks. I have yet to do any type of injection or filler, as I do think there are so many wonderful skin care products on the market that can help boost your skin’s radiance naturally — this being one of them.
Features and Benefits:
– Dramatically reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
– Stimulates cell communication, which helps repair age related skin damage
– Protects skin from redness and inflammation, while enhancing natural glow
– Promotes detoxification, cell life expansion and tissue regeneration
– Helps stimulate elastin synthesis
The application process entails using this product in the morning to cleansed, toned skin. For optimal results, it is suggested to be used in synergy with the Transphuse range.
