Things are going to get a little “techy” and Bill Nye on my end today. But, nonetheless, I am pretty pumped to introduce this latest invention with all of you beauties!
A couple of weeks ago, BeautyStat ran an article about the concept “Phone Face” — how using your phone can contribute to premature signs of aging and acne.
A cell phone has 18Xs more bacteria than a public restroom… GROSS!
We lightly touched upon the phone charging and bacteria-killing device called the PhoneSoap Charger ($49.95)! Not only does this device charge your cell phone (any cell phone and electronic device at that), but it also disinfects your screen in 4-minutes using two powerful UV-C lights (which is not seen during the disinfecting process, only by the external blue light indicator).
UV-C utilizes short-wavelength ultraviolet radiation (shorter than UV-B and UV-A which are NOT germicidal) that is harmful to microorganisms.
The light eliminates 99.9% of harmful surface bacteria found on your cell phone’s screen. And some of those germs include cold and flu, MRSA and Staph (it is flu season after all, unfortunately). Just think of all the times you swipe, click, share and hold you phone to your face during the day! That’s a lot of surface grime and bacteria.
The MicroUSB cable charges most phones including iPhones, Androids, Samsung, etc. There is even a compartment that houses your USB hook-up, so you can even fit your iPod in there!
To use, you simply lay your cell phone in the little tanning bed-like compartment and plug it in. Your phone will automatically begin to charge.
Once that is done, close the lid and a blue light will illuminate, indicating that your phone is being sanitized. The lamps last for 4000hrs, so they never need replacing. Even though the blue light goes off after 4-mins, you can leave your phone in there to continue charging — and you’ll still be able to hear your phone alarming any notifications.
In addition, PhoneSoap also has their PhoneSoap Polish ($12.95) to protect and polish your screen. When you get a new phone, it most likely comes with a oleo-phobic screen coating that repels fingerprints. Over time, this coating wears away and smudges become more noticeable.
This polish restores the coating, creating a surface that is as smooth as the day you bought it, wiping clean faster and easier. The more you use it, the better and the less you need to! All-natural, 100% non-toxic and chemical-free antibacterial ingredients will NOT harm your phone’s screen.
You simply mark your screen using the solid stick formula with an “X”. Then, using the foam cap or your finger, rub in circular motions until evenly spread.
Let it set for 1-minute and clean off using the accompanied micro-fiber cloth, lightly buffing away the residue. The PhoneSoap Polish will leave behind a silky smooth, non-greasy, shiny surface.
You can buff your phone’s screen even on the go! The PhoneSoap Microfiber Patch ($4.95) comes with 2 sticky microfiber cleaning pads that you can attach to your phone. It is made from a dense, high quality microfiber for optimal cleaning and a sticky gel that leaves no residue.
Simply unpeel and apply the sticky cloth to your finger to wipe away any grime. The sticky adhesive can be peeled and unpeeled a number of times without losing its grip. I really like how it replaces the use of my shirt or pants to clean my cell phone, allowing my screen to be fingerprint-free wherever I go.
There are directions all over these products! And the PhoneSoap site is extremely helpful, full of statistics and interesting information. I love the 2-in-1 concept of charging and sanitizing your phone, tablet, what have you!
In this fast-paced world, who has time to disinfect everything? But with PhoneSoap, your body and skin’s health just got a little more prioritized (and efficient!). www.phonesoap.com
