I recently received R+Co Palm Springs Pre-Shampoo Treatment Mask to try. It contains 164 ML /5.0 oz & retails for $29.00.
I had never heard of the brand, but I was definitely intrigued. The packaging was definitely eye catching. The art work design screamed new innovative, rich, and sexy. I could not wait to use it.
The products is made without parabens, sulfates, mineral oil, or petrolatum. It is vegan, cruelty free, and gluten free. It can be used by both men and women. The added plus is a lot of their packaging is recyclable.
I was curious to know more about the brand so with a little research, I found out:
- R+Co was created by 3 icons in the hair industry, Howard McClaren, Garren, & Thom Priano.
- The three of them are some of the most forward-thinking, rule-bending hairstylists in the business. Their resumes are super impressive as they have all done so much in their field.
- The 3 creators rely on stylists and their clients to collaborate with and help them create their products.
- They make sure that they have more than one viewpoint on everything they do.
The Pre-Shampoo Treatment Mask has some great ingredients. Babassu seed oil, shea butter, argan oil, coconut oil, and sodium PCA provide deep hydration and intense conditioning to soften hair and seal in moisture. Sage leaf extract, rose hip extract, nettle leaf extract, panthenol, amino acids, and safflower seel oil nourish to strengthen hair strands and create a healthy scalp.
The directions to use are super simple. You apply the product to dry hair and leave in for 10 minutes, then shampoo. It can also be used after shampooing as a hair mask or as a hydrating co-wash.
I used the treatment and I liked the fact the product was a mousse so it was very easy to distribute evenly and throughout my hair. It smelled great and I had no issues in leaving it in my hair for the required 10 minute time. I ended up leaving it in for 20 minutes. After shampooing, I let my hair dry naturally and I was very psyched to see it looked salon done. It was shinier, healthier, and looked softer than usual.
I was very impressed with this product and I can’t wait to try other products by the brand.
