I have heard about the Naked2 palette formula being better than the first due to no “fallout” (meaning shadow all over your face) and about the sixty-eight NEW SHADES that were made from the same formulation — and I can tell you it is true!
I personally find the fact that you can customize your own palette practical as often I would buy palettes and find myself using one of two of the 4 to 6 colors included. Not in this case, with the Urban Decay Build Your Own Palette ($18.00) you are the one who chooses your own colors. PLUS, one shadow is at no charge, already included in the palette.
Complete with a custom Good Karma Shadow Brush and exclusive-to-the-palette nude shadow in Walk of Shame — it’s a must-have in my opinion! Each Urban Decay Eyeshadow ($18.00) pops out of their beautiful new “token” casing and can easily be then popped into the palette. If you change your mind on the palette colors and have bought other shades from their new collection, just pop those in and put the others back into their “token” case. This new shadow case design was a NYC subway token-inspiration, with a large window on the case for easy shade recognition.

I sampled Verve (EXCLUSIVE to the palette only!), Maui Wowie, Buck (matte/previously EXCLUSIVE in a palette only), Woodstock and Oil Slick as well as their nude shadow that comes with the palette in Walk of Shame and all have the Pigment Infusion System that is Urban Decay’s secret formula that allows the pigment to hold to the eyelid as well as make for an easy glide-on application. Their proprietary blend of ingredients allows the color to weave itself through the formula so the color stays on your lids and the sparkle does not fall. I found it easy to blend with a velvety, suede-like feel to the touch.
There are sixty-eight shades total, with 5 finishes: satin, shimmer, sparkle, duo tone and matte. Old time favorites such as Midnight Cowboy are now part of this newly formulated core collection, as well as shades previously only available in palettes but demanded by fans like Mushroom.
