Oil-free foundation for grown-ups! I am obsessed with creating the perfect canvas. Laura Mercier is known for the ‘flawless face” and this product is no exception. I have combination skin, but always veer towards oil-free foundations, however, since I am 38, they can make me look ashy and dry. Not the most appealing look.
The Laura Mercier Oil-Free Suprême Foundation was the complete opposite due to the aloe and green tea leaf extract. It gives a soft, matte finish while smoothing out the skin, instead of putting the spotlight on fine lines.
The key ingredients in this foundation are Aloe, to soothe and refresh the skin; Green Tea Leaf Extract, which provides antioxidant properties; Vitamin A & E to moisturize and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles; Panthenol, which is a hydrating agent that improves the skin’s moisture balance and, my favorite ingredient, Silica, to smooth skin and absorb oil.
All skin types, from oily to dry, need moisture to improve the skin’s appearance. Overall, I LOVE this foundation. I appreciate the fact that Laura realized that not all oil-free customers necessarily want a dry, matte finish. I wore this foundation during a spin class and, can I tell you, not only did it last, but I think my skin looked even better afterwards!
This new formula retails for $42.00 and will be available April 2012 at Sephora locations, as well as www.lauramercier.com and Neiman Marcus.
Don’t you want a smooth, perfected canvas?
