Avon has been around in the beauty industry for many years and made such an impact. The brand always comes out with a lot of innovative and amazing products.
Today, I’m sharing with you four shades from the new Perfectly Matte Lipsticks. They retail for $9.00 each, but the great thing about Avon is that they always have sales. These lipsticks are currently on sale for $5.99 at the time of this posting, so I encourage you to check out their website!
The colors that I am sharing with you today are: Ravishing Rose (true red), Adoring Love (bright pink), Perfectly Nude (pale nude), and Coral Fever (bright orange). There are a variety of shades available in the line (12 total). In the photo, I am wearing Perfectly Nude.
These lipsticks are completely matte. They claim to never cake, crack, or compromise and seal in moisture for a lightweight, velvety feel. They are shine free and provide a 100% matte look. The coverage is buildable; you can dab these on and blend them for a softer pop of color or you can apply them directly for a bold statement lip.
I love the scent of these lipsticks. It’s a classic scent that I’ve noticed Avon’s most recent lip products have. It’s a light, fruity scent in my opinion; it isn’t overpowering at all though. The actual lipsticks are very bold and pigmented. With one swipe you can get great color. These aren’t meant to be long wearing lipsticks such as the liquid lipsticks that have been very popular lately. So, they will transfer to your coffee mug and wear off after several hours of normal wear. If you don’t mind reapplying, as I don’t, you would probably love these.
I’m truly impressed with the formula of these lipsticks. They provide moisture without compromising the matte look of the lipstick. You don’t have to worry about your lips drying out. I would be interested in checking out some more of the shades in the line, especially the purples/plums! I much prefer this matte formula over several higher end brands that have produced matte lipsticks.
