It seems like everyone is going nude and sensual for summer, which seems counter intuitive. We’ve seen more than one brand usher in delicate, feminine bridal shades that give the whisper of lingerie.
Zoya’s new Touch Nail Lacquer Collection for Summer 2011 gives us three heart- warming shades:
Minka (ZP561) – latte beige cream with a metallic kiss;
Shay (ZP562) – desert rose sand beige cream with a metallic kiss;
Pandora (ZP563) – mauve beige cream with a metallic kiss;
I’ve never been much of a nude nail lacquer kind of gal. With darker skin, the nude always seems a little off to me. It seems…nude. The Zoya shades, however, did not disappoint one ounce.
Pandora
The Pandora is my personal favorite, because of its mauve-y undertones; the metallic sheen is a killer, and once you wear this, you’ll be the bride no one will leave behind at the altar.
Minka
The Minka is a perfect shade for lazy summer evenings, breezes and parties. It is the quintessential lady, and a latte beige cream that’s subtly glinty. Choose this for your LDB and killer patent leather heels. A total contrast.
Shay
The Shay is the palest of all, with a lovely desert rose beige shade that screams uptown/downtown sexy. It’s like a big, warm jug of milk…with slightly darker undertones.
We love these shades — a bit surprising, like a mystery novel — but Zoya has been getting knee-deep in pastels of late. Remember the Flash and Sparkle collection from summer 2010? Quite a contrast.
You can find the collection online, and you can shop for them now, since they appeared on shelves June 1st. $8 per 0.5 bottle.
