You can also use the Instant Styler where you can either upload your photo or select a model who resembles you — to see how you would look with a new hairdo/makeover without having to make a major commitment.

I was so stoked to be one of the first to try out this live-styling tool, so I scheduled my session, waited for my email confirmation and finally, the reminder email one hour prior to my session. You’ll need the following:
1. Appointment
2. Web cam with working microphone
3. Well lit room
4. Desktop or laptop (mobile devices not supported)
5. Facebook account to connect
6. Internet connection
Once you’re set with an appointment, make sure to check your settings 10-minutes prior to your appointment start time and have any questions you may have ready.

Since I basically use TONS of products, I wanted my session to be on Styling Tips & Techniques. I made sure NOT to comb my hair (but then again, when do I?) to give the stylist a good look at what she was working with. I connected right away and immediately Desiree (my stylist) said, “Oh Wow… Hi!” I think I scared her, but I must say my session was worth it.

My stylist recommended a leave-in, which, believe it or not, I didn’t have in that day — and she noticed. The good thing about this Live Styling Style Studio is that you can see the product as it is being recommended to you.
Another great tip: Use a diffuser! I know, I know… I should know better, but in all honesty, I don’t use one despite having three different types of diffusers, as I feel it just creates frizz. Well, my TRESemmé stylist showed me, via chat with an actual diffuser, how to properly use it for my hair type — and even pulled out a diffuser.

She recommended I use the Keratin Infusing Smooth Serum, which I thought would ruin my curls. If anything, this product would just relax it a bit, not ruin my curl pattern, along with the Climate Control Finishing Spray. Another great TRESemmé product I was recommended was the Flawless Curls Lotion Crème.
Each time my stylist recommended a product, she would hold it up to the camera to show me. At night, the stylist recommended I use a satin pillow, to reduce breakage and frizz, which I tried and must admit worked like a charm (thank you!). The last and best advice she gave me? DON’T TOUCH YOUR HAIR SO MUCH!
Guilty! She could tell I did that a lot. I tend to tousle, wrap and stick who knows how many pens to create a bun. Lesson learned! This “Curl Gurl” will definitely be using this website, even when I wear my hair straight – just for fun tips!
