We attended the P&G Future Fabrics 2015 forum back in January to find out more about how the rising sensorial trend of taking care of fabric is having on the fashion industry. New fabric technology is making fashionable clothing machine-washable and easy to take care of with long-lasting fragrance and odor-shielding advances that go beyond just covering up odors.
We learned how to have a better relationship with all the new cleansing and conditioning items available now from P&G, with our very handsome and charismatic host, stylist and television personality George Kotsiopoulos (above) taking us through each showroom and product demonstration.
In a nutshell, the best way to properly take care of your fabrics is to apply the three step FiberSCIENCE innovation strategy to redefine the traditional definition of fabric care and cleaning. The three key steps to P&G FiberSCIENCE includes: Step 1. Clean, Step 2. Protect and Step 3. Enhance, much like how we view our skincare routine of Cleanse, Tone and Moisturize.
Giles Deacon, Fashion Designer and P&G Global Fashion Consultant, teamed up with P&G to create the The P&G Future Fabrics Collection, an entirely wearable collection that is machine-washable and fashion-forward. A surprise fashion show at the event revealed Deacon’s collection of floaty, airy, comfortable and breathable fabrics. Models walked down the impromptu runway wearing a mixture of delicate pastels against stark whites, proving that Tide leads the way in keeping whites bright and colors vibrant. Summer-ready kaftan and column dresses were awash in paisley, geometric stripes and flower scribble prints, along with non-constricting cocoon tops and empire waist sundresses.
