Featuring REDKEN‘s exclusive new Shine Strong Complex (infused with a blend of apricot, camelina and coriander oils), my hair not only smelled amazing, but the shampoo process alone left me hair feeling softer to the touch (usually I have to wait until I deep condition for this to happen).
Diamond Oil gives your hair that multifaceted shine! This line includes a: Shampoo ($18.00) Conditioner ($19.00), Deep Facets Oil Enriched Intensive Treatment ($20.00) and two silicone-free oils: Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine ($40.00; which I used) and the Shatterproof Shine INTENSE ($40.00) both comprised of 99% natural oils.
Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine can be used as a pre-shampooing treatment overnight, blended with the mask or conditioner before blow-drying or on dry hair. Packaged in a glass bottle, the unique dropper is specially designed to dispense oil one drop at a time for a perfect dosage — non-greasy, yet full of shine.
I washed my hair as usual, then applied golf ball-sized amount (I have a lot of hair) of the Deep Facets Intensive Treatment, leaving it in for 15-minutes.
My hair instantly detangled, not needing much conditioner, which is good given that this bottle (8.5 oz) is slightly smaller than the Shampoo (10.1 oz); I also tend to use double the conditioner to shampoo ratio.
Finally, I used two droppers full of the Shatterproof Shine by rubbing the oil in my hands to activate and then smoothed on my wet hair. This is great for reducing frizz — my nemesis! I didn’t need or use any other styling product, just the Shatterproof Shine!
