Natalie Portman Engaged: Our Bridal Beauty Picks for the "Black Swan"

As 2010 comes to a close, it is proving to be “The Year” for Natalie Portman. She has snagged the title as the new Miss Dior Cherie and received a Golden Globe for Best Leading Actress in a drama for her performance as Nina Sayers in Darren Aronofsky’s thriller “Black Swan.” But all these are secondary compared to her latest accomplishments as future mother and wife

Natalie-Portman-Benjamin-Millepied

The ever so private Portman went public with the news that she and her boyfriend, Benjamin Millepied, are engaged and expecting their first child – reps for Natalie Portman confirmed to People. No one saw it coming.

Portman and Millepied met on the set of “Black Swan” and have been romantically linked since last fall. Millepied was the choreographer for the movie, as well as playing the role of David. Millepied is a principal dancer at New York City Ballet and a renowned ballet choreographer. Yes, a man in tights!

Being a fashion icon, I am excited to see Portman as a blushing bride – shedding the “Black Swan” dark make-up and exuding the glow of maternity. To accentuate her natural beauty, there are some products I would suggest. For an overall even skin tone and beautiful sheen: MAC Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15 Foundation. It is a liquid foundation, providing sheer to medium coverage and offering a luminous finish. To fault proof the make-up, she would do well to lightly apply Make Up For Ever’s HD Microfinish Powder – preventing the t-zone shine. To complete the skin, I would recommend using NAR’s Yachiyo Brush and apply Bobbi Brown, who coined the flawless face, blush in Nectar. The blush should be applied to the apple of the cheeks. The next step, is to apply mascara to her long lashes, Lancome Hypnose works wonder. The final product, before Portman walks down the aisle is lipstick. NARS’ Velvet Matte Lip Pencil is a great product and long lasting and there are a variety of colors. Now she is all ready to say “I Do.”

We are elated for the couple and wish them the best of luck!

Tell us, were you surprised to hear of the engagement? What should the bride wear (makeup wise) to the altar?
