At first glance of Lancome’s 2011 Summer Collection promotional image, I instantly thought of the islands, the sea and the sand between my toes. I had palm trees planted in my back yard last week, that is as close to the islands as I am getting at this point.
I especially love the colors of the Limited Edition eyeshadow quad. Available in two quads named Molten Shore and Heat Wave, they are priced at $42. Properly named Desert Rose Blush, this part of the collection includes a mix of tones of summer bronze, berry red, soft rose and light pink. Apply with a powder brush all over to receive a beautiful summer glow. $40
The Precision Point Eyeliner is available in Beach Gem and Scorched. This water proof eye liner is meant to be long wearing which is perfect for those summer parties outside. $29.
Color Fever Gloss is a limited edition lipshine available in three colors. The colors are vibrant yet not over the top. Heatstroke, Hibis-Kiss and Paradise Peach give a dazzling shine without the sticky feeling. I love the glosses from Lancome and can’t wait to get my hands on Hibis-Kiss. So pretty! $26.
Limited Edition Sensational Effects Lipcolor is also available in three colors including Coral Goddess, Hot Nights and Femme-Fire. Choose from five fabulous finishes: cream, sheen, shimmer, metallic and matte. $22.

The Limited Edition Le Vernis,a devine lasting color and shine, is available in a berry color called Sarong. This is another new item I can’t wait to get my hands on. Absolutely beautiful! $19.

I love the colors from this Summer Collection. If I close my eyes, the colors remind me that Summer is just around the corner. I think I’ll enjoy these colors and go lay by my palm trees.
What do you think about this 2011 Summer Collection? Love the colors? Are they all too familiar or are the colors too bold and vibrant? For a comparison, check out Lancome’s Spring 2011 collection, Ultra Lavande, and their Summer 2010 Collection, Bronze Riviera.
