Tom Pecheux, Creative Makeup Director for Estée Lauder, created a new, buildable texture for the latest Pure Color Stay-On Shadow Paints ($24.00).
“I wanted to create a new way of playing with makeup. Pure Color Stay-On Shadow Paints are great for mixing and are an especially easy way to apply makeup — there are infinite possibilities.”- Tom Pecheux
These Pure Colors — in Chained, Halo, Pink Zinc, Sinister, Cosmic, Steel, Neon Fuchsia (not pictured/sampled), Bold Cobalt and Extreme Emerald (Pantone Color of the Year 2013) — can be worn alone or layered. Their creamy texture makes it easy-to-apply and are long-wearing.
When first swatching, I noticed some were more soft-looking while others made a bolder statement. The hybrid texture — which is creamy and richly pigmented — has a 12-hour wear and is non-creasing and non-fading. It reminds me of the many pots of color that I have played with — but these truly STAY ON!
Note: These colors are infused with True Vision (TM) Technology that is a unique concept of wrapping concentrated pigments into a crystalline laminate, which creates a multi-dimensional look.
The color is amplified and magnified with a glowing metallic finish. Mousse-like cream lays down a layer of pure pigments to recreate and redefine the eyes while prismatic light-reflecting pearls add dazzle to each shade. These reflecting pearls go from glimmering effects in the colors, to subtle sheen, to downright shimmery finishes.
