(Review, Before/After): Top Makeup Time Savers from L'Oreal Paris

We live in a world where everything was due yesterday. So, time saving beauty products makes more sense now than ever.

We are smitten with our gadgets: the laptop, alarm clock, kettle, Keurig coffee machine, and now, our latest ePrint wireless printer from HP which makes me scream for joy because I can click “print” in any room. Technology rocks.

But so does makeup technology. Over the years, I’ve been so impressed with what goes on “behind the scenes” of makeup innovation that I’ve learned to really love them. So, when I received some of L’Oreal’s “time savers,” I knew I had to write a post after testing them.

Here are some of the products i love that will help you erase minutes from your makeup clock:

One Sweep Eyeshadow: One of the truly genius innovations to hit the eyeshadow market, the One Sweep Eye shadow really makes it easy to get your complete eye look in a single sweep. It contains a triple-toned palette without the need for all the extra brushes and pans. I was a disbeliever at first but the curved brush, precise application and design makes your eyes ready in two seconds.

Time gained: 2-3 minutes

Visible Lift Smooth Absolute Foundation: The time saver technology in this foundation is, of course, the built in brush, which makes it super easy for your to click and brush and go. It comes in a variety of shades to suit every skin tone.

Time gained: 3-4 minutes, compared to applying foundation with a blender sponge or with your fingers.

Studio Secrets Professional One Sweep Sculpting Brush: This duo is badass, like Bonnie and Clyde. They may not help you rob a bank, but they’ll definitely let you get “blushed” in one fell swoop. The dual-toned blush and sculpting shade is subtle but easy to use. Fishtail blush included.

Time gained: 1 minute

Infallible Le Rouge Lipstick: At last, a lipstick that really STAYS on. For a few hours, at any rate. Although the packaging says “10 hours” it wears off quicker than that, but ours lasted at least three hours and through meals. The colors shown below are Ravishing Red (#129) and Beyond Blushing (#312).

Time gained: 2+ minutes without retouching

Voluminous Million Lashes Waterproof Mascara: We love this mascara for truly being waterproof, and dramatic lash definition. It really STAYS through the day. A few swipes are all you need.

Time gained: 2+ minutes without retouching

Total time gained using these time savers: 10 plus minutes. You could go to your local Starbucks for a latte during that time, read a section of your newspaper, or walk the dog. Or buy more time savers, of course!
