It seems all anyone is talking about these is days is finding the right concealer. From the heavy contouring techniques, to Kim K’s fave Ben Nye Banana Powder, concealer is no longer there to just “conceal” imperfections, it is being used to manipulate the entire face.

But what about the basics? What about those of us that just want to get rid of the drowsy bags under our eyes? What about that lip balm and mascara girl? Enter Lancôme Le Corrector Pro Concealer Kit, a basic concealer set, perfect for the minimal makeup gal.
This customized concealer kit rids you of dark circles, brightening up your eyes and erasing any imperfections, all with a flawless finish. It comes in a portable palette with instructions clearly shown on the package. Available in 8 palettes according to skintone, this 3-step system is the perfect addition to any woman’s morning routine, and can be carried around for touch-ups through out the day.
I tried 200C Buff. My skin is pretty pale, so I always look for concealers that fit my lighter, pink undertone, but aren’t so light that they take all the color out of my face.
Step 1: Correct
Apply the left color on the indicated inner corners of the eye and below to neutralize the color of dark circles. You can use the provided dual brush, though I felt my fingers provided a much more blended application.
Step 2: Even
Apply the middle color over the previous color, extending it toward the outer corners of the eye, and slightly onto the eyelid to illuminate and even the eye contour. The texture of this formula is super-creamy and glides on with ease. It truly brightens up the area and does not look cakey.
Step 3: Set
Use the powder to set the concealer. It might be easier to use a loose powder though, because I found this powder is not easily picked up by the brush.
Overall, the palette leave a flawless, bright and natural look to the face. There is no harshness, no cakiness. It looks like it’s not even there! You can also use this kit to conceal blemishes or other spots on the face, as it is easily blendable and disappears right into the skin.
If you are concealing blemishes, you can definitely apply the middle tone to cover slight redness or pimples. If you are trying to highlight and contour, skip this palette, as it is truly only good for a natural look.
