When color comes to mind in the cosmetic world, Make Up For Ever shows no fear in pushing boundaries. And one such new trend is the neon train, which was unveiled in New York’s “Let There Be Neon” last week. Dany Sanz, Creative Director of Make Up For Ever, was also in town during The Make Up Show (NYC) to talk about her new “Go Neon” line of Aqua Liners.
During the event, guests enjoyed creating their own eye shadow palettes from groups of neon blues, yellow, reds, and purple tones. They also had the opportunity to receive make overs with top Make Up For Ever artist, Jessie Powers, a national educator, and Damian Castellanos, a regional educator.
The new neon line includes Aqua eyes ($18), Aqua Liner ($23) Aqua crème ($22), Rouge Artist intense lipsticks ($19) Lab shine gloss, ($18) and the colors are amazingly bold and rich.
Dany Sanz was ready to chat with every beauty editor about the creation of Make Up Forever. At one point she spoke to the small group about the brand’s heritage of color. With a background as a painter, true color is always important to her. She says, “ I am a painter so if you want colors like purple, I’ll give you real purple”
We asked Dany about her latest products and she was happy to chat. Here is a short video of our chat (click on the picture to play).
Would you sport neon on your lids? How about on your lips? This is a way for you to get really creative, so how do you plan to embrace this trend?
